Lightpath is built to work on your phone, not on our servers. This policy explains exactly what the app touches and what leaves your device.
Lightpath is built to work on your phone, not on our servers. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising SDKs.
Nothing. Lightpath does not collect, transmit or store personal information.
When you allow it, Lightpath reads your device’s location to compute sun, moon and Milky Way positions for where you are. This happens on your device. Your location is not sent to us or stored by us. You can use the app without location access by picking a saved spot.
AR sky view shows your camera feed with sky markers drawn over it. The video is displayed live and is never recorded or transmitted. If you tap the capture button, that one frame is saved to your photo library with the overlay drawn on it — and nowhere else.
To show cloud cover, the app requests a forecast for your approximate coordinates from Apple Weather (WeatherKit), governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Air-quality data is requested from Open-Meteo using your approximate coordinates; no identifier is sent with the request.
Return Alerts are scheduled locally on your device.
Recipes are stored on your device, and in your iCloud backup if you have backups enabled. Sharing a recipe sends only the text you see on the card, through the app you choose.
Lightpath does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
